Mattamy Homes tasked us with redesigning their website and creating a modern component-based approach with a design system that can support easy growth and flexibility. They wanted to have the ability to build pages by themselves when they needed to do so. In order to achieve that the design system had to be structured very thoughtfully and divided into a few groups.
1. Styles plus core elements. 2. Small (subcomponents). 3. Sectional (structural) components. All of them work cohesively in the design ecosystem. This approach allowed the build of pages that have the function of drag and drop plus add or remove preset sectional components.
